I guess it’s beyond time I posted something on here since the site’s been up and dormant for longer than I had hoped. Beginnings are funny like that; at least for me they are. Like many things I should have already done, I should have started a blog. In my defense, I started grad school at the same time (which is something else I should have already done). But doing both at once was perhaps a little overzealous, as I didn’t realize the complexity to which I would need to understand basic web design to get started on blogging. Still don’t, but I’m getting there. My page is comparatively spartan, but it’ll serve well enough for now. I opted to use my name, omitting my middle initial because I read somewhere that using it comes across as pretentious. Hilarious, because I think any self-titled blog covers that quite well without one. So yes, my pretention precedes, a blog in sheep’s clothing (literally), replete with delusions of grandeur and ample mirth. May it sate thee.
I have no focus, but a lot of interests, ideas, thoughts, stories, and opinions. I will assert these here. How they should be organized, I’ve yet to figure out, but with enough words I’m sure something will take shape. I’m here to capture flow, in medias res, as it were. Less a blog and more an attempt to download consciousness into an accessible medium. An intimate dialogue between the writer and the reader. Where it goes is anyone’s guess, but an attempt to write in earnest shall be its own reward. I’m not a writer by trade, nor am I published (unless today counts), but enjoy writing, or rather the clamor of keystrokes in rhythmic syncopation. This blog seeks to encourage my hands at regular intervals since beginnings aren’t that funny if they never get to the end.
